Day 1
So Sofia, So Old and So modern….
Arrival in Sofia – The old city has long been an important crossroads between Asia Minor and
Europe. Sofia’s monuments attest to the many cultures and civilizations that flourished here. A
beautiful city on its way to grow to a big and modern European city, with nice green areas,
beautiful ancient churches and buildings from the beginning of the 20th century.
Welcoming and transfer to our centrally located hotel .Dinner.

Day 2 – Sofía – Boyana church– Veliko Tarnovo 250 km
Pray, Eat , Dance!… Or more miracles of Rila and Macedonia …
Breakfast. Visit the church of Boyana (World Heritage Site by UNESCO), whose frescoes from s. XIII
are considered as a style prior to the European Renaissance and are true masterpieces of medieval
art. Departure to Veliko Tarnovo The city has been the capital of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom
(12-14th century) and a rich trading center during the Ottoman occupation. Аccomodation and
lunch. Visit to the Fortress Tsarevets. Is a medieval stronghold located on a hill with the same
name. It served as the Second Bulgarian Empire’s primary fortress and strongest bulwark from
1185 to 1393, housing the royal and the patriarchal palaces. Creative rout in “Samovodska
charshia” (carftmen’s street) and explore on foot the old quarters of the town that impresses with
beautiful views and reflections over the Yantra River.
During our rout we have short degustation of local tea and spelled products / from the ancient
wheat of the Thracians, which is cultivated only in Bulgaria and has unique properties). Dinner.
Dia 3 Veliko Tarnovo –Arbanassi-Bozhentsi-Tryavna
Crafts, Renaissance town, gastronomy….
Breakfast.Visit to the architectural reservation Arbanassi situated at a distance of only 5 km from
Veliko Tarnovo. The ancient village had preserved magnify architectural monuments of the Age of
the Bulgarian Revival, old churches and beautiful yards filled with flowers and greenery. Here, we
will visit the church and its “Nativity of Christ” from 17th century, where we can see the oldest
preserved wooden iconostasis, surrounded by amazing frescoes, representing the achievements of
Tarnovo painting school. Also visit to the Konstantsaliev house, is among the largest of the richly
decorated houses that have been preserved (17th century). Departure to Bozhentisi. Gastronomy
experience and lunch in traditional family house in the village with home made cheese and
yogurt degustation . Bozhentsi is an authentic village and architectural reserve Characteristic
features of the Bozhentsi architecture are the verandas, the stone-plate roofs, the corner fireplaces
and the ceiling woodcarvings. Walking rout in the village . Arriving in Tryavna.
Walk time in Tryavna and creative workshop: painted glass in small local gallery in the old town.
The town of Tryavna is famous for its dexterous woodcarvers, whose work has graced churches
and mansions across all the country. Bulgaria’s 19th-century glory days come alive along Tryavna’s
romantic bridges and cobbled streets, lined with National Revival–period homes. Tryavna’s
centuries-old woodcarving tradition lives on in the artisans who still train here.

Dia 4 Tryavna-Etara-Kazanlak-Burgas
From the green forest of the Balkans through the Rose Valley to the Black Sea coast…
Breakfast. Visit to the Museum of woordcarving in Tryavna. Visit The Architectural and
Ethnographic Complex Etar. The only collection in Bulgaria of technical installations driven by water
– filling mills, water mills, grindstones, etc., are situated there. Lovely houses can be seen on the
crafts bazaar (the central commercial street) in the Etar. On the crafts street the visitors can watch
in real time the work of the craftsmen. Multiple crafts are presented – bellmaking (manufacturing
of wrought bells for animals), pottery-making, sugar-making (manufacturing of sugar articles),
furriery, manufacturing of copper vessels, etc.
Departure for Kazanlak – the capital of the Rose Valley. The Rosa Damascena, known as the
Damask or Castile rose, is the greatest treasure in the region of Kazanlak. The rose was imported
into Bulgaria centuries ago, and today it is one of the nation’s symbols. Under the influence of the
country’s unique climate and soil, this rose gradually developed into a Bulgarian strain distinct
from Damask roses elsewhere. Lunch. Visit to distillery in the Valley of the rouses. Here you will
learn about the production process and the qualities of the famous Bulgarian rose oil. In the
authentic old rouse laboratory who wants will have the possibility to buy some original products
from rouses or lavand and know different ways to use it.
Visit to one of the Thracian tombs in Kazanlak(UNESCO heritage) and the museum of history in
Kazanlak in which are some of the treasures and finds from the Thracian tombs. Deaprture to
Burgas. One of the major cities on the Black Sea coast. Accomodation . Dinner.
Dia 5 Burgas-Nessebar-Burgas
UNESCO heritage,beach, sea and nice walking….
Breakfast. Departure to Nessebar we will have a walk in the old UNESCO town of Nesebar. It is one
of the oldest towns in Europe and the most abundant with medieval architectural monuments in
Bulgaria. It inherits an ancient Thracian settlement established 2000 years BC. Nesebar
holds nearly 60 houses from the Revival period in Bulgaria (18th-19th century) and more than 40
churches. Lunch. In the afternoon – two hours time for the beach and enjoy with the Bleak sea
coast. Return to Burgas and walk in the famous lovely Sea garden. Dinner.
Day 6 Plovdiv
8000 Years history and Art under the hills …
Breakfast . Departure to Plovdiv. Lunch. Sightseeing tour of Plovdiv – a tour of the old town which
consists of one of the most spectacular ensembles of town houses from the period of the
Bulgarian National Revival. Visit to the Saints Constantine and Helena Church, Roman Theatre,
some of the most important houses. Also, we will discover some interesting local crafts in the
Crafts street.
We will climb to the highest point of Nebet tepe to see Plovdiv and its hills from there. Other
interesting points from our tour: The Roman stadium, the mosque Dzumaya, the roman Forum ,
etc. Time for Kapana district –is a special area of Creative industries where you can find different
kind of hand made products, or just enjoy with home limonada or bear. Time for shoping and
walking in the big city park. Dinner.
Day 7 Plovdiv – Bansko-Banya
Macedonian histories and ,music, thermal spring and lovely views in Pirin
Breakfast. Departure to Bansko: is a town in southwestern Bulgaria, located at the foot of the Pirin
Mountains, It is a popular ski resort. Also the region has a rich past and many historical, religious
and architectural landmarks. There are over 140 cultural monuments from different ages, some of
which are unique and of global significance. Visits visit the old town of Bansko with architecture of
the typical houses in Bansko from the period of Revival (18th – 19th century : emblematic places
such as the main church“St. Trinity” – basilica with a nave and two aisles, the house Velyanova, the
house of the famous teacher Neofit Rilski etc.
Bansko is famous for its traditional rugs and knits colorful socks that we will see everywhere. He is
also very famous for his traditional music, everybody in Bulgaria know the famous Macedonian
songs. So, in the local cultural center we have a short music workshop with traditional songs
from Macedonia. Lunch. Accomodation in Banya , the neighboring village to Bansko, which has
thermal springs and wonderful nature. Time for enjoy with the thermal springs. Before sunset – a
short mountain walk in the Pirin Mountains. Dinner.
Day 8 Banya-Rila monastery – Sofia
Rila and the big Monastery orthodox!
Breakfast. Departure to the Rila monastery (UNESCO Heritage).This Monastery is an important
symbol, not only for the Bulgarians, but also for the Orthodox world. Its amazing frescoes and
icons are considered one of the jewels of Balkan art and the Bulgarian Renaissance (17th and 19th
centuries). We visit every corner of this great monastery. Lunch in Rila mountain. We have the
lunch in a family restaurant where we will test some traditional local food : in Rila grow the best
potatoes, also they have great trout and produce their own homemade yoghurt with homemade
jam. Plus lovеly mountain view! Аrrival in Sofia. Accommodation. Time for Vitoshka street – the
main commercial street in Soffia. Dinner.
Day 9 Transfer to the Airport Sofia.
